About the Gravity Weighted Blanket
The Gravity Weighted Blanket is a single or queen-size blanket filled with glass beads to enforce weight, contributing to the blanket’s purpose of improving sleep and reducing stress. This Gravity Blanket review brings you key information you need to know, such as the materials, weight options, care and cleaning, and ordering them. A word of caution to those with children or pets in the house: it is advisable to look for non-glass options, such as Silk & Snow’s hand-knitted weighted blanket, as the glass pellets can escape from the blanket’s interior and become a choking hazard or cause cuts and further injuries.

Material and Construction

As we bring you the Gravity blanket review, we took a closer look at the material and construction of the blanket to better understand it.

The exterior of the Gravity weighted blanket is micro plush, or a single-sided knitted pile fabric that will feel similar to velvet on one side. It is made of a polyester microfiber yarn which is known to be durable, however retains heat and moisture. Those who run hot or are prone to sweating may find weighted micro plush to cause them to overheat or feel claustrophobic. The interior of the blanket is filled with glass beads. These beads can be very small, and can become choking hazards to children or pets should any rips in the blanket occur.

Colour Options

Gravity offers seven different colour options varying in shades and levels of boldness. The velvet nature of the micro plush exaggerates the blanket’s tones, so they may not match everyone’s aesthetics, especially outside the bedroom.

Weight Options

The Gravity blanket is available in 3 weights: 15lb, 20lb and 35lb. These weights are suitable for individuals 150lbs-200lbs, and likely unsuitable for small children. The 35lb blanket is meant to be shared during sleep across the bed, however it cannot be said to provide the same benefits as the weight distribution is not guaranteed to be evenly distributed across both partners.
