Douglas advertises their Summit mattress as the premium choice offering more cooling, comfort, and thicker memory foam, but is it too good to be true? Our sleep testers found the enveloping feel of the Douglas Summit to underwhelm compared to similarly priced memory foam mattresses, and did not showcase the same cooling capabilities of mattresses like The Casper. If you’re looking to invest in an innovative, comfortable, and long-lasting memory-foam mattress, we’d recommend considering The Casper, as it was highly rated amongst our sleep testers!

Delivery, Sleep Trial, Returns
Douglas relies on third-party delivery partners to ship their products. Douglas only offers free shipping to Canadian provinces and charges shipping fees to Canadian territories.
Like other mattress-in-a-box brands, Douglas mattresses arrive rolled in a box and wrapped in plastic for protection. Douglas offers a 365-night sleep trial and a 20-year warranty on their mattresses. Returns are only eligible during the sleep trial period.

The machine-washable cover is made with cooling-infused nanofibers meant for temperature regulation.
2. 2.5” ecoLight® Cooling Gel Foam + Polar® Temperature Balancing
A layer of cooling-gel-infused memory foam meant to regulate temperature.
3. 2.5” Premium Elastex® Foam
Body-contouring memory foam.
4. 7” Motion Isolation Support Foam

Firmness
Douglas Summit is said to be a medium-firm mattress. It is only available in one firmness level. If you’re searching for a firm all-foam mattress, or a mattress with different firmness levels to cater to all sleeping styles, we suggest considering The Endy.
Edge Support
Douglas Summit’s edge support was adequate when sleepers were on the bed, but sank considerably when sitting directly on the edge of the bed.
Motion Isolation
During testing, we observed that the Douglas Summit had some motion transfer, indicating a possibility that you would feel a partner, child, or pet moving on the bed.
